DEW LAX describes its purpose in one sentence: “lacrosse education. Period.” The girls program is built around direct, technical teaching of fundamentals, ambidexterity, game tactics and strategy, with coaches expected to give athletes clear feedback and a specific roadmap for improvement. Players can enter as beginners or pursue high-school and collegiate goals, while the program also uses lacrosse to develop leadership and life skills beyond the lines of the field.
