Northside Youth Lacrosse began in Atlanta in 2008 with a simple break from tradition: teach the sport before asking young players to compete in it. That “Surge” philosophy made learning the foundation of the league, with instruction from people who know and play the game and a clear emphasis on standards, passion and steady player improvement. The organization has grown significantly since its first small group, but the core idea remains the same—development comes from teaching, not just adding games to a schedule.
