RLX RedBlacks grew out of youth clinics launched in Rockwood, Ontario in 2018. Clinics continued under the RLX name while RedBlacks became the travel-team identity, and the organization later added box lacrosse and small-sided competition. When traditional travel schedules were interrupted in 2020, RLX expanded its training programs and introduced its HYPE LAX League, reinforcing a model that mixes instruction, travel teams, box and alternative game formats. The program’s history reflects a strong emphasis on giving local players more ways to train and compete throughout the year.
