San Francisco Riptide is a nonprofit, volunteer-led community lacrosse organization serving boys and girls from kindergarten through high school. Formed in 2010 through the merger of two existing San Francisco youth programs, Riptide was created to provide one citywide pathway for the sport. Fall is used heavily for foundational skills and scrimmaging, spring is the primary league season, and camps and specialty clinics extend training through the rest of the year. The club’s mission combines learning, fun, teamwork and access, including support intended to reduce equipment and registration barriers.
